Teaching Adjectives

I am looking forward to reading class tomorrow morning!  I just introduced adjectives to my first graders last week and I am now going to act like Fancy Nancy!  We are going to retire a few words like old, new, like, big, small, ect.  We are then going to find new FANCY words to replace the old retired words.  I did get this idea off of someone's blog.  I just can't remember who.  So if anyone has seen this please feel free to remind me where I officially found this idea.  We are going to finish up subtraction tomorrow so we can start learning about our shapes!  I hope everyone has a fun Monday!!

first time blogger!!

I am completely new to this whole blogging thing.  I just happened to stumble over all of this after 6 years of teaching.  I am so glad that I did because I feel it has made me a better teacher!  All of the blogs that I read inspire me every day to try new things and to continue teaching my first graders with fresh ideas.  As soon as I figure out how this whole thing works I promise I will post free cool lesson plans to anyone who chooses to follow me.  All I ask for is patience and guidance from those who are blogger pros :)  I will appreciate any tips or suggestions!
